I thank Allah, The Master of the universe for granting me the ability to complete this humble task of mine which I began on 1434AH (2013) and was paused for a while.
Time at the beginning of human civilization was much simpler than today. The night sky marked the passage of time, and humans learned to track the moon through its phases.
Humanities first efforts at time keeping consisted of tracking the movement of the sun, moon, planets, and stars. Over thousand years ago, European hunters scratched lines and made holes in bones and sticks. Experts think these marks were made to record the phases of moon. With this simple beginning, mankind’s first calendar was born and consequently, today its being favorable for tracking the past dates and events of the history. The moon remained mankind’s natural calendar for thousands of years.
Record keeping is an utmost important element for assisting us in many ways. In this regard the only person I came across in the country was As-Sheikh Hafiz Bawa Mohiyudeen (may Allah protect) him, to whom my heartfelt gratitude goes. Who was maintaining the record since 1424AH (2003). Without his sincere work this report wouldn’t have existed.
